OTT Offers Free Basic Computer Classes in Maine and West Virginia

Computer LiteracyOTT is continuing its commitment to providing free computer training in the communities it serves.  Classes scheduled for this fall will be located in Gray and Waterboro, Maine, and War, West Virginia.  The class will cover topics such as operating systems, web searching, storing files, e-mailing, safety, etc.  Please review the information below and register through the adult school in your community.

In Waterboro, a six-week computer basics class is being offered at the Massabesic Center for Adult Learning Center .  Session 1 is 2 classes providing an Introduction to Computers and will be held on September 13 & 20.  On September 27 and October 4, Session 2 will offer Google and E-mail Basics.  Participants will learn about Exploring the Internet during Session 3 on October 11, and finally on October 18, Session 4 will offer, “Keeping Your Kids Safe Online & in Social Media” All classes are on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Until the fall course catalog is available, those interested can register early by calling 247-2022.  Please note, class size is limited and pre-registration is required.Digital Literacy

The Gray – New Gloucester Adult Ed Program is offering the same 6 week course with “Keeping Your Kids Safe on the Internet” on September 21st,  “Computer Basics”  on October 19th and 26th, “Email Basics” on November 2nd, and “www Does Not Mean Wild, Wild, West – Surfing the Web” on November 9th and 16th.  All classes in Gray are on Wednesday nights from 6 pm to 8 pm.  All classes are free, but space is limited.  PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED Call 657-9612 to register or register online at www.gngadulted.org
